Thank Allah SWT for allowing us to meet and remain connected on this sunny morning of National Santri Day.
This is my first time at Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. It amazed me to see what the students were doing this morning when I came in.
Following the Fajr prayer and Quran recitation, I saw a group of students playing sports. They were playing soccer, basketball, and running. Some santris were also taking care of the trees and flowers.
The fact that the students were not only practicing worship touched my heart. They are also still taking care of their health and those around them.

Following this, they practice what the Quran says. According to Surah Maryam verse 13, one should take care of one’s health and hygiene. As well as Surah Ar-rum verses 41-42 of the Quran about caring for the environment.
